Jason Moore Modus Operandi Cellars moduswines.com Jason Moore grew up in Dallas, working as a waiter in many fine-dining restaurants. It was here where he acquired a love for wine and, after getting approval from his bride-to-be, sold everything they owned to move to California. In California, Jason Moore learned the basics through self-study and mentors. However, he eventually realized that the only way to truly understand winemaking was to make his own. Working with an elderly vineyard owner, Jason made his first batches of wine from the vineyard owner's garage.
In 2004 Jason Moore launched Modus Operandi Cellars with 200 cases of his Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2006 he was hired to become the manager of a winery, where he was able to make his wine. Today Jason Moore is the consulting winemaker for 7 small wineries in Napa, Sonoma, the Sierra Foothills, and the Agoura Hills of Malibu.
In 2009 Modus Operandi Cellars was honored to be chosen to have their wines poured at a 2009 White House State Dinner. (click the images to view)
